On March 5, 2007, the American Conservative Student Union released
its official platform on Immigration, Illegal Immigration, and
Temporary Worker Programs. The position reads as follows:
As Conservatives, the American Conservative Student
Union recognizes that the United States is established on principles
which encourage immigration and promote the transformation of
immigrants into Americans. The purpose of immigration policy is to
benefit U.S. citizens. Therefore, when establishing such policy, the
United States must take into account five principles.
First and foremost, immigration must be consistent with the rule of
law. Our immigration laws must be consistently enforced in all
situations and immigration must be done legally. Those who violate our
immigration laws must not be rewarded with any form of legal status or
